Wilderness Adventures Summer Camp
Are meals provided?
We provide water and snacks each day, twice a day. Campers must bring a bagged lunch for the day. We have a cookout every two weeks where lunch is provided.
Are snacks nut-free?
Yes. All of our snacks are nut-free. If your child has other dietary restrictions please contact our office.
Where are the pick-up and drop-off locations?
We have several drop-off/pick-up locations in the state. Email our office with your town name and we can give you the closest location to you.
Are their bathroom facilities at activity locations?
At some of our locations there are bathroom facilities. At other locations we use "mother nature's" facilities while following Leave No Trace standards. We take regular bathroom breaks throughout the day.
What happens if it rains on an outdoor activity day?
We have back-up plans for each day. These include science centers, museums or other local indoor attractions.
What medical certifications do your staff hold?
All of our staff are CPR and Wilderness First-Aid certified. Most of our staff hold higher level certifications though which consist of EMT's, Nurses, Paramedics, Wilderness EMT's and Remote Paramedics.
What is staff to camper ratio?
We follow a six to one ratio on ALL activities.
What forms do I need to complete?
Upon payment you'll receive a registration packet with all of the forms you'll need.
What certifications do your staff hold for the activities campers will be doing during camp days?
Our staff are professional mountain guides and hold various certifications related to their discipline. Our rock climbing guides are trained and/or certified with the Professional Climbing Guides Institute. Our hiking guides are certified through the American Hiking Guides Association. Our kayaking guides are certified through either the American Red Cross or the American Canoe Association.
What time is pick-up and drop-off?
Pick up is usually around 7:00 AM and drop-off is usually around 4:00 or 5:00 PM.
